Music

Music transcends borders, languages and cultures to soothe your soul.

Indian Classical Music is known for its proven ability to improve concentration. As ironic that it may sound, I spent the first few years while learning this art sleeping in the classes. Despite not having a cultural background or a familial relationship with Indian Classical Music, I was introduced to it because of my sister and parents: where my primary function was to just accompany my sister rather than to learn the actual art.

And yet, after a perseverance of about fourteen long years, I have, thanks to all my Gurus Pt. Aba Parkale and Vidushi Jayashree Kulkarni (Baramati), Pt. Mukund Anant Marathe (Pune), Pt. SP Acharya (Gandharva Mahavidyalay, Delhi), Mahesh Kale (San Francisco) and Vidushi Aishwarya Rao (Mumbai), been able to elaborately present my art to an audience and also simultaneously derive pleasure from singing the compositions and their nuances. Furthermore, one extremely unexpected impact of the music is that it is characteristically highly improvisatory, which has taught me to be able to quickly think on my feet - an essential skill to survive as the fittest in this competitive world.
