Selected Studio work

This was a short academic approach to making a site plan based on certain parameters/themes, in this case, the theme was to propose a transit-oriented master plan for a selected site in the city.

In the context of the same, this work gives a short overview of the context, the site, and the proposed development in the given area of Orchard Downs, Urbana.

This was a comprehensive practice-oriented studio work looking at the Economic Activity of Tirupati City in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Some selected slides/sheets are displayed here.

The objective of the studio was to pick and choose a land-use category for the city for the study, conduct on-field surveys, background research, and existing situation analysis for the given use category; and then based on this, give some development proposals for the given category.

Similar to the projects above, this is also a comprehensive practice-oriented studio work on site planning on a site called Randesan area in the city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The objectives are again to conduct adequate background research, analyse case studies/best practices in the sector chosen (Sustainable Approach), and then propose a site plan.

All of the studio works are evaluated weekly by both academics and professional/practicing planners, and then presented to a group of anonymous jurors at the end of the semester.
