Internship Experiences

Lochmueller Group, Champaign-IL

2022-Present

At Lochmueller, I have been able to restructure and translate my ideas and concepts on the subject of transportation planning and engineering practice to the context of the United States from my previous work in India.

Working on travel demand modeling projects in the Tricounty region of Illinois (Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties, IL) and the East-west gateway region of St. Charles, MO; and simultaneously juggling schoolwork has also helped me get better at setting priorities and managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Institute of Urban Transport, New Delhi

Summer 2018

For my first ever introduction to transportation planning practice, I could not have asked for a better workplace than the Institute of Urban Transport, New Delhi. Working with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Ministry of Urban Development on research projects was an enriching experience.

Working on both research-oriented projects like the Rationalisation of taxes on Bus Transport Operators and also on practice-oriented projects such as the Lucknow AMRUT Intersection Design Project showed me the difference between planning practice and education.
